After mixing Graphite flakes, NaNO3 H2 SO4 and potassium permanganate, mixture is stirred 35°C for 2 h. Question I have;
Can increase temperature like 60 C and stirred 2h instead of 35 C 2h before adding water?
60 C temperature is risky for Graphite flakes, NaNO3 H2 SO4 and potassium permanganate solution ,
İncreasing temperature affect oxidation rate?
It is expected that the oxidation rate is increased with increasing of the reaction temperature. It has also been reported that the size of GO sheets is also increased at higher temperatures.There are many reports, that you can easily find in the literature, about the dependence of GO prepared at different temperatures.

I expect increase in oxidation rate. Carbon to oxygen ratio could change. Size of GO flakes will get affected.
