The counterions affect the solvation sphere of your cation. Therefore if using a cosmotropic or chaotropic ion would lead to more/less organized solvation sphere and therefore a variation of the overpotential needed to discharge the ion and also steric effects that would affect morphology/structure. On the other side, depending on the reduction potentials, nitrate ions would oxidize the film between other effects.

Could you explain that in which form these anions remains in the solution after reaction.and what will be the effect of these anions on the film formation?By using which salt(anion),I can get the better film?

Hello Rekha. My advice is to check the BCF modell of heterogeneuos nucleation as well as papers about counterions cosmotropic and chaotropic ( I have the paper but not here this seek) to understand the underlying mechanisms of film formation. An specific response is that using acetates you probably would have smoother films beecause acetate are good ligands (cosmotropic ions), for sulfates and chlorides (chaotropic ions) you will have possibly rougher films but higher deposition rates, it would be intereesting to study the relatin with electronic properties and structure, i guess that chlorides will affect more as they are ekeectriical active impuriities and for eexampee acetates will direct more the crystal growth in some direction.
