Physics has a major role in preventing spead of covid-19 as it can provide several devices, protective kits. The nanophysics has emerging scope in controlling covid-19 speard.
Well for me as the Covid 19 look more Biological in nature then Biology and Chemistry should have a greater role in fight against this pandemic but improvement in devices for detection can also be improved by physics if possible

By using CryoEM technology, scientists were able to obtain the structure of an outer “spike” protein of SARS-CoV-2 that is believed to enable the new virus to weasel its way into host cells. This CryoEM technology is related to Physics-based techniques.
Biophysics provides theories and tools not only for detection of the COVID-19 viruses but also in the therapy. Not to mention, physics principles and theories are applied in making of masks, PPEs etc
