Good Day

Recently in my AP recordings, I often observe that there is a time delay in my current injection recordings. For example, if I set the protocol to inject at 1s, the actual recording injects current at 1.1 s. I search the reason why. I found out that the delay is attributed to first and last holding period in pCLAMP. This is dependent on the number of samples you have in an epoch per sweep. The larger the samples, the larger the holding time.

I want to ask why is there a holding period before and after running the protocol in a pCLAMP software? Why is it specifically 1/64 of the total epoch time? Are there ways to eliminate this period during the recording?
