I am struggling with the stress experiements in ADX mice.
i tried 15ug/ml cort in the drinking water for ADX mice, however, the basal plasma cort are much higher than sham controls( 260ng/ml vs 60 ng/ml), the plasma cort are even higher in those ADX mice after social defeat stress?
i learned from an article Hauster 1992 that they suggested 3ug/ml cort + 30ng/ml aldosterone combination in the drinking solution is best for ADX animals.
does anyone tried this? or do you have other suggestions, many articles used 25ug/ml cort +0.9 saline , while it does not work in my experiments.
