I am just a beginner in QTL mapping. Based on my knowledge, I chose BC1F2 as the right answer. May I ask those ones whose answers were different from this why they chose other identification than BC1F2? Do you have any experiences that confirm your answers?
Taken that the resistance is controlled by a recessive allele (lets assign it as r), and the question is to ask one of the back-cross generations, you get Rr in F1 between resistant and susceptible parents. When you backcross the F1 with the resistant parent (rr), you get 1 rr: 1 Rr ratio in BC1, which will allow you to map the locus. Therefore, it is the quickest.
