Hey all

I have tried synthesizing Albumin nanoparticles using desolvation technique using glutaraldehyde as a cross linker. After 24 hrs of stirring I could see that the protein has turned brown and the particles are also visible to the naked eye, unlike true colloid.

The particle size was in microns.

What could be the reason for this?

Has anyone else who has worked with bovine serum albumin encountered similar problem ?

Is it because the BSA powder that I had used got denatured?
