I want to coat NiCrBSi metal matrix composite with Graphene Nano Platelets as reinforcing agent. The coating is to be developed by atmospheric plasma spraying method. I am in doubt on possible formation of any side reaction during coating development. Whether the elements present in the NiCrBSi interact with Graphene? Whether NiC will form or there will be any side reaction? As I know Graphene melting temperature is above 3500 degree centigrade. So it will not burn during plasma spraying. But still I cant anticipate this. Please help?
