Hi, I recommend using vacuum plasma spray, because atmospheric plasma spray has a high possibility of oxidation. The temperature of the substrate in the vacuum plasma spray method is very high because the possibility of cooling the substrate through convection is reduced due to the drop in chamber pressure. However, the high temperature of the particles improves the adhesion strength of the coating because in this case the penetration is increased and the stresses due to cooling are reduced; but, care must be taken not to increase the temperature of the substrate by a critical value.To do this, I suggest reducing the plasma time.

In order to prevent possible side effects, in addition to reducing the plasma time, it is recommended to use argon gases and nitrogen and increase the distance of the plasma from the sample.

However, the key factors for this process is temperature and temperature control in inert or vacuum environment . 600OC is the upper limit temperature for graphene stability also sets an upper limit for the growth temperature of graphene in a surface growth mode on substrate of NiCrBSi metal matrix composite. Therefore, the specimen surface temperature should keep and close controlled below 600OC.
