nano particles are three dimension quantum confinement materials have different shapes and their sises are (1-100)nm there is different ways to synthesis them such as chemical vapor deposition.

Maybe a better question is, in which conditions I have my "nano"particles of Ag. If you check the the Pourbaix diagram you will know in which state of Ag is stable. On the other hand, some metal could be acid or bases of Lewis depending on their oxidation state and the media. Check any book of inorganic chemistry and study the chemistry of the Ag and you will known the typical features of Ag. On the other hand, take into account that before the popular NANO-particles was used, the chemists told this kind of compounds a "colloidal dispersion", so the chemistry is the same.
