Can you give an exact definition of the RR? Over here (Germany) an often used value is the FOS/TAC, translates as ratio VFA to total inorganic carbon. Maybe a transform between RR and FOS/TAC can be found, then I might be able to help.

Hi Martin,

I think we are talking about the same think. RR is same as FOC/TAC. RR is determined by alkalinity using two step pH (5.75 and 4.3) to determined amount of bicarbonate and VFAs. It may vary in set pH, but principle is the same.

Hi Gauri, thank you for your answer. Can you refer any literature saying that RR should be lower than 0.3?
