I am working on cloning and heterologous overexpression of terpene synthase enzyme. I have overexpressed and purified the enzyme. Now I want to characterize the enzyme by setting up the reaction with the suitable substrate. I want to ask which technique (other than GC-MS) will be most suitable for the determination of the volatile product (terpene).
