There are a lot of arguements about different teaching/learning techniques in vast amount of disciplines. The purpose of this question is to try to collect all pros and cons about described methods if they would be applied in engineering classes.

Your question supposes that format is the key factor here but I would suggest that the quality of the lecturer/ teacher is far more important.

The most important thing to remember is that learning requires the active participation of the learner, that people learn in a variety of ways and at different rates and that learning is both an individual and a group process... have a great weekend thinking about this... :-)
