While patient satisfaction parameters are multiple, but still it is important to learn what is the most disturbing thing to a patient once he enters into a medical facility
Being health care provider, if I place myself as a patient, I am scared, disturbing elements, the whole environment is disturbing, we talk about patients on rounds, and not with the patient. Medical teams are Always in hurry, not having enough time to discuss matters with patient, waiting areas time, oh God, then computers, everything on HMIS, physician doesn't even look towards patient, and writes prescription,...medical errors, list is endless...., long hours of duties, shortage of staff, never ending complaints...

Reassurance with smile, attention, registeration of patient history, intering patient general information , initiation of examination and diagnosis, conclusion, description of treatment, follow-up of the patient's condition
While i would like more opinion and examples about this patient-doctor issues , but still if someone could suggest parameters to evaluate a medic,. After all they were the best of the best in their undergrads to get admission into medical colleges BUT yes there is a long list of complaints varying from attitude, to competency but still we do not have a yardstick from patient's perspective to evaluate a medic's performance
My mother used to give me some very bitter pills dissolved in sugary water so i could not feel the bitterness of those pills.
AND yes we also have quacks, homeopaths, saints and so many other categories who manage patients and people are quite satisfied about that.
Strange isn't it? Something getting wrong about here, about science mixing with human emotions, somethings perhaps misunderstood at either end.....
Non-professional, Do not review the patient's medical history
As scientific capacity increased, overall health care declined
there is no contact between the patient and the doctor, there is Magnetic resonance imaging...Echo .. and analysis, may not have to do with the complaint
Cancer patients are especially considered to be dead talking to their surroundings as someone who does not exist,
The doctor and other medical personnel not listening to the patient is the number one concern. As a patient I had my own experience of going to a hospital for heart attack. The same medical assistant asked this question of me 4 times: "Have you had a heart attack before?" I had replied to that question each time. Do they not want to listen or do they mechanically ask the question because it is part of the protocol? Three others also asked the same question. Are they not listening to me or to each other? The other issue I had encountered was cultural insensitivity. Medical providers sometimes make assumption based on the norms of the dominant culture and never for a moment address you as a unique person.
