No, never. Although genomic medicine has the potential to revolutionize patient care, it is not the panacea. We will always need clinical acumen, conventional diagnosis and conventional medicine.
I do not think that genomic medicine will replace the convential medicine. We are doomed to be seen by doctors in their clinics and by conventional medicines that cost a lot of money taken from our monthly budgets.
well Gemomic medicine ( Nutrition ) will be as a part ( tool ) of conventional medicine , allows better ( nutrition ) health care development opportunities
I believe that these are the ideals, to have direct contact with our genome and manipulate it, in order to avoid the development of pathologies or disorders
It is an impressive and important question. However. Even the era of revolutionary world and highest technology. WE still need clinical management and conventional diagnosis to reach proper treatments for the patients. It is well explained by Dr Arvind Singh.
The development of disease and drug response on a person depends on the genetic as well as environmental factors. So, the treatment of patient cannot be predicted by knowing the total genome information only. In future I think genomic medicine will be complemented by conventional medicine which will also be improved with time.
hmmmm........May not be that late.....u may see it early.....already chinese had a claim of helping two babies with eradication of HIV in Nov-2018 by using a genomic techniques called CRISPR Cas...
