What is the mortality rate in cam assay in ovo?

I'm carrying out several experiments using chick chorioallantoic membrane assay in ovo. unfortunatly, the mortality rate upon the 12th day of incubation is significantly high. is it a commun issue or not? what is the solution to enhance the survival likelihood?

Dear Bilal,

I see that there is not much feedback on this question. I have the same problem. We are currently working on this model and we have an important mortality rate even at Day 7 with a high variability between assays.

Did you find ways to decrease your mortality rate ?
