I am trying to figure out the method used by FLUENT to evaluate the viscous forces (breakdown) on wall BC. The 'Reports' option presented the details I have attached below and clearly states the X & Y viscous forces (Z = 0; working on a 2D model).
I would like to know the breakdown of these forces to which I am half through but facing difficulty to go any further.
1. X-direction viscous force (15.70) => X- Wall shear stress*Face area magnitude => ?*Face area magnitude.
2. Y-direction viscous force (0.72) => Y- Wall shear stress*Face area magnitude => ?*Face area magnitude.
I would like to figure out how the X/Y-wall shear stress would be broken down further. I have tried using 'molecular viscosity*dx/dy' (as the definition says) but am still not ending up with correct numbers.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
