if we have the steam distilled essential oil and we would like to extract the abosutes from it, what should be the exact method of extraction and what are the various factors that should be considered while extraction of absolutes? If we are extracting the absolutes using Hexane and ethanol , what should be the exact proportion or method for it ?
Kindly give the valuable suggestion for it.

Difference between essential oil and absolute comes from the extraction method. In the case of essential oil it is performed hydro or dry distillation or in case of citrus oils cold pressing. Absolutes are obtained using, in most cases, some type of solvent extraction, where the solvent is later on removed. This leads to differences in their chemical profiles due to the fact that in solvent extraction there is greater variaty of chemical classes. Solvent extraction can extract the heavier fragrant compounds compared to the distillation process.
