I did an experiment for calculating porosity of collagen membrane and it gives 100% porosity. Cells are growing on that scaffold, without passing out from scaffold. So, wanted to know the meaning of 100% porosity here!
Dear Purva. How did you determine the porosity? As porosity is defined as the volume of the voids divided by the total volume, 100% porosity is only possible if the two are equal, and thus the volume of the scaffold material itself is zero. Regards. Deon
Recalculate...100% porosity would mean void volume...95-98% is more realistic

100% porosity means there is no scaffold. What method you have used to calculate ? I think you have to redo it.
