In the third last line of the 4th page of the paper some MIC values are given in the unit "µg/L" but in table 2 of the paper the same numbers can be seen with the unit “mg/ml” which is also the unit I see for the tested concentrations in the materials section. Can somebody confirm that the correct unit is “mg/ml”?

MIC is the minimum inhibitory concentration, that display minimum concentration required for inhibition of microbial growth in in vitro assay. It may be in microgram and in milligram and may be after 0. 1 onwards/ml.
That answer doesn't make much sense for me. It is not hard to find the definition of the MIC.
That I need is some advise from somebody used to MIC concentrations. Are antibiotics MICs typically in the range of µg/mL and chemicals with no specific bacteria effect in the range of mg/mL?

I agree with you that the unit should be ""mg/ml" and NOT "µg/ml" as indicated in page 4 (the last third line if counting from the bottom to upward). Although the MIC values for most known antibacterial agents are in µg/ml. For MIC values of antibacterials please see attached file.
