That is indeed a very good question and one that will perhaps need to be looked at in more detail as the situation evolves. Already there are reports of nurses and healthcare workers suffering with emotional fatigue, PTSD and emotional traumas at the situations they have had to deal with in ITU settings. The positions is different around the world and one that will have to be dealt with if we are to survive unscathed after a further peak.
There is a lot of interest in psychological support for healthcare workers at present and there are indeed new resources to help cope, but in reality we are unsure as to the way this will progress in the future in terms of resources and indeed the emotional response of those affected.

There are several reports where nurses and other staff attending COVID-19 patients became ill and also succumbed to death. There is no doubt the novel Coronavirus epidemic has serious impact on the health and well being of nurses and other workers. Hence, it is very imperative that all health workers should be provided good quality of protective wear and also take all necessary precautions while attending the patients.

Impact on mental health and perceptions of psychological care among medical and nursing staff in Wuhan during the 2019 novel coronavirus disease outbreak: A cross-sectional study,
Health care workers are most susceptible to COVID 19 related serious illness. This very fact itself puts me and my team in a sense of uncertainity while donning a PPE on resuming the duty everyday.
The issues which come to my mind are not only the quality of PPE and fear of catching an infection but also the after effects if I catch the infection which are short term and long term.
Short term - As per the current policy I along with my family will be quarantined with a huge social stigma within my society. getting items of daily need would be a challenge.
long term - If i become seriously ill, how the society or state will support me and my family. I would have contracted this infection while performing my bona fied duty. Will state support me and will my family will not be asked to run pillar to post to get the claims.
These are just an example.
so the implications are not only physical but psychological and in the long term may turn out to be a neurotic or psychological illness ( Post traumatic stress).
To get over this stress an assurance from society and the state is the most important thing which I and my team need .
