I'm saving tissue for possible later HPLC analysis of dopamine and related metabolites, however it may take a few months before I can start the analysis. What are some methods to preserving tissue for this purpose?
If it is to be stored for months, the Liquid nitrogen is the only answer. we dont know what is this, but if it is small, soft, flexible, then you can transfer in small ampoules , seal them under nitrogen gas & then store in the appropriate sized Liquid nitrogen Biostat. That is the only simplest & best way. Dr Abid Aziz Ajaz.
Dissect rapidly the tissue and freeze them in liquid N2 or dry ice. Keep the samples in a -80°C freezer until use. I have done it for retina samples without problems
