Green belts in the cities have many economic and ecological benefits.

1.Improves the Aesthetic value of the city

2.Its a refuge and breeding sites for many birds and small animals within the cities

3.There are some places where they are used as recreational sites like the Bison garden in Nairobi and in Dodoma City

4.The air in these sites are cool and comfortable than in the residential areas of the city

The Greenbelt provides clean air and water, supporting fruit/vegetables, birds and animals, increases beauty of area, and land protection and jobs
