It have sense only if raw water is turbid. As for me Actiflo or AquaDAF are the best. These systems are effective and small.

1- is the flow = 1000 m3/hr. an average or maximum flow?

2- is the flow for the total Water Treatment Plant(WTP) or for only one

clariflocculator ?

3- what is the projected population( after some 25 years from now)? if the flow is an average.

So that I can roughly calculate the anticipated dimensions( simple procedure). Best regards

Then according to the flow which is high then I choose rectangular tank.

Let SOR = 24 m3/d/m2

As = Q/SOR = 24000/24 = 1000 m2

Take L:B = 3:1

3(B*B) = 1000

B = 18 m

L = 56 m

Design two clariflocculators with one working, one standby.
