Will there be any gold oxides formed due to the reaction between gold nanoparticles and sodium borohydride?. If so, will it affect the reuse of gold nanoparticles supported catalyst. What is the XPS profile- binding energy values for gold oxides formation?
Unless your nanoparticles already contained oxygen in the first place, a reaction with NaBH4 will of course not generate oxides since there is no oxygen in the batch. Was your intention to ask about hydrides?

Always check the cited sources, however, since they may have used some calibration that's not state of the art anymore.
Au(I) ~ 85 eV, Au(IIII) ~ 87 eV for the Au(4f7/2) peaks. Cationic Au species are really unstable under XPS analysis so have to record the Au(4f)) first. However the borohyrdide tends to be a reductant, so I cannot see why would oxidise
Sodium borohydride is a strong reducing agent, so in reaction between it and gold there cannot arise any oxides. Although - if you are using NaBH4 to reduce gold on some substrate (catalyst) the reaction between NaBH4 and the substrate can take place, and therefore it can result in changes in nanoparticles composition, but it depends on the substrate being used (for example - sulfides).
