Novelty in research is about a totally new developed material or method used in the research work. Authors must prove innovation and strong rationale for funding and publication purposes.

Novelty in research is addition of a new material or a new technique or a new molecule which has not been worked upon earlier, whereas newness is as long as the research topic is new and has not been researched upon often. For example Nanoemulsions as drug delivery agents is a new topic and will remain so until exhaustive studies have been done using the same technology.
The difference between newness and novelty is that newness is the property of being new; while novelty is the state of being new or novel.

The novelty of a search article means a new observation or results that were not previously reported while newness means new consequences or new results for a pre-existing situation or problem.
Novel means society impactness but Newness means a trial , it may be society friendly or not .
In my opinion, Novelty is some how Innovation to one field that's very rare, however newness is about another perspective of already published Ideas/research which is a common practice nowadays.
Novelty is one of the basic requirements of the patent statute. In order for a patent to issue, the invention must be new. while newness is a new addition to something that already exists.
