Amal - you are correct. There is confusion and that is why this question appears quite regularly in RG. In my understanding they are simply different software repositories that find and store published article information. It's not about impact - it's more about how their individual repositories differs in terms of 'types of articles', media formats etc. Some are more conservative than others i.e. ISI (Clarivate) versus Scopus (SCImago). So, for instance, most researcher's individuals impact scores will be less in Clarivate than in SCImago. That said, some employing institutions will only look at your Clarivate score as what they consider to be the most conservative and 'representative'. If you are more interested in the greatest 'general' impact - my choice on your list would be Scopus. Higher general impact again is Google Scholar.

Quality wise, there is no difference between SCI and SCIE listed journals.
SCI was launched in 1964 with a limited list of journals with superior quality. It was majorly focused on Engineering discipline. In the later period, when the research in other domains like social sciences, management came into picture, the SCI list was expanded to cover a wide range of disciplines (more than 150) with around 8,500 notable and significant journals.

There is no difference between SCI and SCIE. But if there are a new journals, they are added in SCIE rather than SCI. Scimago is an informative website for journals rank.
