Efficiency of PSCs can be enhanced by water rinsing of PEDOT:PSS and application of MoO3:PEDOT:PSS composite as HTL will stop etching of ITO. Now questions arise, what is the detailed water-rinsing method of PEDOT:PSS? What should be the thickness of MoO3:PEDOT:PSS composite layer?

I am surprised that you can rinse the PEDOT:PSS layer. I have used PEDOT: PSS coatings for years. If you use water to rinse the PEDOT:PSS layer, the layer will wash away. From your question, the HTL is MoO3:PEDOT:PSS composite layer. The typical layer thickness is 30 nm. I don't think you need to have PEDOT:PSS layer rinsing. Hope it helps.

According to this paper rinsing in water enhances the conductivity of the PEDOT:PSS layer as it partially dissolves Pss leaving PEDOT untouched.
Since the PSS is insulating, removing it partly will increase the conductivity of the mixture. It also reduces the acidity of the mixture reducing the PEDOT:PSS attack on the ITO.

Further the suggestions, if you want to remain the PEDOT:PSS layer on the substrate or on top of another layer, normally there is a binder material mixing with the PEDOT:PSS solution. Then the PEDOT:PSS layer may withstand water rinsing to some extent. Otherwise the layer will be washed away by water easily. Bear in mind, the work function of different ratio of PSS content within the PEDOT:PSS layer can be different. Although the water rinsing could reduce acidic of the layer, the work function is lower.
The best way is to do it. Then you will find what happens.
