What is the correct way to calculate the optimal initial cell seeding density for a porous 3D-printed scaffold?

The 3D-printed scaffolds are gyroid cubes (1cm^3), with ~78% porosity, a calculated volume of approximately 1,262 mm^3, and a surface area of 1650mm^2. Could I use the surface area to calculate the optimal seeding density based on this surface area? If so, how would I perform these calculations?

We are seeding with mouse pre-osteoblasts cells (MC3T3-E1 Subclone 4). We want to use timepoints at 3 days and 7 days of culture post-seeding.
