Thank you for your answer. Indeed, I want to build an evaporator for resistive heating the SAES Rubidium dispenser to load atoms in a magneto-optical trap. Does the ion exchange method works for this purpose?

Looking into my thesis (1987) I found that I tested the exchangend zeolite (Na-->K) using an optical spectroscope and didn't see the yellow Na line (no number given). Weber Rev. Sci. Instr. 37(1966), 113 found 0.04% Na. I don't know what an ion trap would accept.
