For a fixed fixed - free Euler _bernoulli column, the buckling equation (which means it has already become unstable) is:

y''+k2 y=k2*delta ... 1

Now (1) is stable (at least bounded though oscillatory)  from differential equation  solution stand point, since real(lambda)=0, where y(x)=A*exp(lamba*x)
