I know that I can make my own solution, but I am unable to do this for this particular experiment. I just want to find the cheapest price per reaction. I am also interested in Asian suppliers and small companies.

do not worry about the cheapest company. Contact all of the companies representatives and ask for a kit to use on a trial basis. They can only say no and if one sends you a kit then your problem is solved. Sometimes companies like a kit in a laboratory in case other people use it and decide to buy more
Assemble your own kits with bulk columns and solutions. You can buy bulk DNA maxiprep columns at http://www.enzymax.net/columns/maxi_column_DNA_RNA.htm, and buy bulk solution N3 from Qiagen (500ml bottle, N3 is in DNA mini prep kit) and make your own solution P1 and P2, which are very easy to make (let me know if you need solution recipe)! Some researchers found out that our DNA midi columns (with thinker silica membrane) gave pretty high yield because of extra layers of silica membrane. The cheapest way to have your plasmid prepped is not coming from a commercial kit. Forget about the DIY kit option! Send us your plasmids as we can prep them for less than it takes you to do it.
