I want to do a pilot study on the dental conditions/ oral conditions of parsees over the age of 60 years.
Seeking constructive suggestions from others who have knowledge of this kind of study/project.

I think you have to first read the available publications and most of the areas already have one or study available on the geriatric population's oral health status. So u do not need a pilot study. Rather plan an epidemiological study in a systematic way.
It depends of what you are looking for. At first you have to formulate your Research question and then to design the study.

you havent really read my project name properly.
im doing a pilot study on old people of MY COMMUNITY...i.e. the Parsees.
nobody has done this so far.
I have started the pilot study in bombay.
The findings are sad...most of the patients i have examined are in very poor oral health..
I am now trying to treat them in the charitable facility i am attached to.
I have come to 78 patients in my pilot study. I'm in the process of collating the data and will then compile statistics.
I am now including my clinic patients too.
I find a lot of differences in the oral health status of my patients vis-a-vis those in institutions.
