Dear Colleagues;
Is there anybody have a idea for treating and microwave irradiation of transparent minerals such as silica in multi-mode microwave (like conventional kitchen microwave)? Silica is transparent minerals and microwaves will come back to microwave magnetron which it is harmful in long-term for equipment .
Maybe it is good to use Water or some other liquid medium (NaOH; inside microwave in baker); in this case probably almost microwave energy will be absorbed for warming of water or liquid located inside apparatus and probably there is not significant effect of microwave irradiation on the silica particles or lumps)? Other choice is putting of liquid and solid mixture in a glass plate in microwave for irradiation? What is your idea?
Regards,
Hamed
