I am doing the fecundity aspect for Macrobrachium rosenbergii using gravimetric method. However, it is difficult for me to recognize the "true eggs" for counting. This is because a bunch of eggs also have irregular shape and size. Is there a standard protocol of the characteristics of eggs to be counted?

Despite this premature larvae can also be found amongst the eggs, so can we actually count/estimate the potential number of premature larvae?
