To evaluate different HbA1c measuring methods, is it necessary to use HPLC as the reference method? Or can one use an HPLC-based program like ADAMS A1c HA-8180V? If both available which one do you recommend for better, more accurate and statistically more valid results?

Also, I’d appreciate it if you could give me any insight (book, paper, link, tutorial) on working with HPLC (Agilent 1260) for measuring HbA1c
