What is the best protocol for decalcification of the nasal cavity in rabbits?

Hi!

I am looking for protocol for decalcification rabbit nasal cavity. This protocol must provide possibility to stain preparations with HE. I have found in literature the method with hydrochloric acid/water 25:1 decalcification solution for eight days but I don't know the initial concentration of used acid and my attempts unfortunately damaged the epithelium.

I will be grateful for help.
