Now a day, a lot of optimization methods are available, like Taguchi (Grey relational, utility concept, Entropy Method), RSM (Desirability), GA (NSGA-II), ANN, PSO, Ant colony optimization etc.
What is the best method to solve these problems. Also method has some impact, so that it can publish in a reputed Journal.
It depends on the the process that you have to optimize. Generally Taguchi methods are used to determine the significant parameters affecting the quality characteristics. The optimization by RSM is effective but limited to the chosen range of parameters which have to be decided from either literature or sample experiments. If the experimental runs are more then ANN is suitable and it also can be combined with RSM and GA. By using any method mentioned above you can publish in reputed journal but the proper justification like complete analysis of the process needs to be explained.
