I want to know which are the best methods for fixing non adherent cells to microscope slides/coverslips for immunofluorescence microscopy? I have tried using a cytospin, but was wondering if there are any other techniques. Any protocols on other techniques would be much appreciated.
for homogenous distribution of your cells cytospin is possibly the best. make sure you use coated slides and use serum added PBS as diluent of your cells while doing the spin. my apology if this sounds too rudimentary for you
SuperFrostPlus glass slides might help. Cell/tissue adherence to glass slides is essentially an electrostatic phenomenon and SuperFrostPlus glass slides are purposefully designed for this.
