Monte Carlo neutron transport calculation needs the knowledge of cross section data at different temperatures of the medium. For low energy neutrons, scattering cross sections must be corrected by S(a,b) functions. The computing of these functions by NJOY99 data processing code is based on phonon frequency calculation.
