Is a plasma sample required or a serum sample? For the latter you can use a yellow top (SST) or red top (clotting; no additive) BD vacutainer collection tube.  Leave the red top for 30 mins either at room temperature or 4C to clot before use.

You can use sodium citrate vacutainer (light blue cap). They are normaly use for hemostasis test but it should work fine. They are use for platelet microparticules study.
