In the doctor blade method used to deposit CE materials of the solar cells onto FTO substrate glass
I want to know the real benefit of using polyethylene glycol (PEG), and its concentration's effect.

PEG acts as binder which binds your nanoparticles on the surface of FTO , in order to not to get affected by this binder we use very less quantity during slurry making ..
you try one with and without PEG to find this..
in other case we use NMP PVDF and alpha terpinol + ethyl cellulose combination.. in this case PVDF and ethyl cellulose acts as binders..
the use of these binders also enhances the stability during repeatable cyclic measurements..
to prepare counter electrode, Spray coating the prepared nanoparticles in IPA or EtOH dispersion medium can enhance efficiency , however affects the stability ..

Yes ... But before u should tell whether ita metal oxide , metal sulfide or carbon material??
What is ur compound type ... Whether it is metal oxide like WO3 MoO3 or metal sulfide like CoS NiS etc or carbon like activated charcoal, graphene
Great in case of sulfur u can simply disperse in ethanol and sonicate well ... After u just drop or spis case it to obtain thin-film... Later u sinter it 300 degrees in nitrogen environment

Sonication with High power for 15 min is must... Tube furnace has the ability to anneal compound in controlled environment like nitrogen and argon this improve ur adhesion of coated sample to ur substrate

Heating a sulfur sample in air or oxygen leads to formation of oxides thus we need inner atmosphere like nitrogen or Argon
