Proteome means a complete protein entity encoded by specific gene of an organism or cell. The science dealing the study of proteome is called proteomics, plays a key role in intracellular signaling pathways of the immune system and intracellular messenger.
The main goal of the proteomic research is to find the distinction between quantitative regulation and structural proteomics.
The core technology of proteomics is 2DE (Two dimensional electrophoresis) coupled with MS (Mass Spectrometer). It gives the most widely accepted data ( qualitative and quantitative) in cells, tissues and fluids to form proteomic databases.
