What is meant by median-follow up?
Example:
If I have 2 groups of patients ,1A group underwent therapy and then intervention and the other 2B only intervention , we go to measure disease free survival over time.
All the follow-up is 5 years , then the median DFS of group A is 3y while group B is 1.5y.So group A at a better median DFS over the observation time (5 years).
What is meant by MEDIAN-FOLLOWUP?

You can compare the two survival curves on Ex. Log Rank test and find the significance.it is obvious that group A with treatment has a distinct advantage and the median survival time is better.
Thank you although the doubt remains about the definition of MEDIAN-FOLLOW UP.
