I am looking for the typically called 1:1 molar ratio in case of cyclodextrin inclusion complex prepared with any antimicrobial extract. So, how can I calculate molar ratio, and how much amount I should add for two components of complex, i.e., plant extract and cyclodextrins to get any particular ratio.

first, you should konw Mw of your plant extract and type of your cyclodextrin. then you can calculate 1:1 molar retio. for example. beta cyclodextrin(Mw:1135). you choose 40 mg from it (0.035) mMOL. then you must calculate 0.035 mMOL from your plant extract. mg? finnaly, you need Mw of both of them certainly
This is not a simple task. Even if the inclusion complex present a 1: 1 molar ratio and this molar ratio is added in a solution, only a fraction of the compounds will actually be in the complexed form. Variables such as guest-host affinity; cyclodextrin type; solution concentration; solvent; etc. are decisive for the final result.
Additionally, in the case of an extract, all the compounds in this matrix could compete for the hydrophobic cavity of the cyclodextrin, increasing the unpredicted factor.
I advise you to perform a solubility diagram (DOI10.1208/pt0803060) to understanding the ideal ratio amount of extract and cyclodextrin you will need.
