Being a library professional, I would say that information handled so efficiently and effectively that right information reaches to the right person at the right time is the perfect Knowledge Management.

Knowledge management (KM) is a key discipline, attempts to support an organization to become a vital strategic practice that enables companies to operate more efficiently and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. knowledge Management is an asset. Meaning good managers exploit their assets to position their companies well within their particular environment.
Today's organizations need to be "learning organizations" that collect information, such as about customers, clients, prospects, etc., and then use the information effectively. This is knowledge management.
Syed, what are you trying to identify from your question? Simply definitions of KM or something more in-depth? KM has been a defined field of research for a couple of decades, but in real-life practice, organisations often find it difficult to implement KM programmes due to countless factors. I would advise checking out the 1000s of articles on KM; most journals and conferences nowadays, especially in the management and engineering fields, include KM within the scope of their calls.
