I have encountered an interesting article about the use of graphene foam. Unfortunately I'm struggling to find an actual description of the material itself. What structure does it have? Is it a similar idea to aerogels?

Graphene foams are like nickel foam or copper foam. Generally, nickel foam are coated with graphene with CVD process. And then nickel substrate is remove with some chemicals such as HCl or NHO3. From what I managed to find on my own so far: the nickel/copper foam can be also coated with CH4 or graphene oxide and then reduced. The graphene oxide part makes more sense if you know that reduced graphen oxide that has less than 10 layers can also be refered to as "graphene" according to UPAC. It's something that is used in articles about graphene materials, but rarely stated
