Of course the heating rate is so important during ppyrolysis and also during pyro-gasification. For fast pyro-gasification (100°C/s for example) the syngas ratio formed is avantaged by comparison to liquid (tar) and to solid (char).

In Gasification an increasing temperature rate is most favorable thing in order to provide the heat energy aid required to proceed the endothermic reactions of gasification yielding CO, H2 & CH4 main combustible gas components. Similarly the elevated temperature as suggested by Andreas Ortwein above also proceeds pyrolysis more efficiently to pyrolyze the tar components into smaller hydrocarbons (methane to butane) that will enhance the overall Calorific value of the syngas.

in contrast to it the low heating temperature yields poor gas quality resulting in low calorific values of syngas.
