Definition of statistics: - is the science that is concerned with data collection, tabulation, presentation, analysis and extraction of results and inferences for the purpose of making decisions.
The data collection is the process of obtaining measurements, censuses or values of the observations of the experiments conducted by the researcher or student ... The more accurate the data collection, the greater the student's confidence in relying on them. There is no correct analysis of the data if there is Errors in collecting that data.
The organization and presentation of the data is the process of placing the data in the tables of a coordinated and presented in appropriate ways such as geometries, drawings, data and frequency distributions that we will learn later.
Data analysis is the creation of values for specific parameters and associations to be determined.
The interpretation of the results and decision-making is one of the most important objectives of statistics and most useful, including most of the studies and theories based on them and scientific applications.
In other words, short interpretation of the results consists of the conclusions reached by the researcher from the analysis of his data, which are often in the form of estimates or predictions or decisions of rejection or acceptance of statistical hypotheses.
Through the previous definition of statistics we can conclude the following:
(1) The census does not deal with a single study, but includes societies in the study. The society means any group of individuals, objects, tools or words that have a common character or characteristics, but this does not necessarily mean that societies are studied on a comprehensive basis, A community may be based on a sample drawn from this community or from these communities.
2 - The study of high society includes research in methods of data collection and means of presentation and analysis in order to access a kind of knowledge based on the digital foundations of communities in the subject of study.
3 - The method of statistical study is a digital method, which means that each society can be measured digitally whether this measurement is based on quantitative or ordinal basis, that society can be subject to statistical study.
4 - The essence of statistics is the study of changes, the whole societies of similarity or homogeneity can be studied through one property and no place for a statistical study, which led some researchers to define the science of statistics as a science of studying variables.
