Vinorelbine (Navelbine®) as used to treat non-small cell lung cancer, as chemotherapy drug. Specifically, this medicine belongs to a class of drugs called plant alkaloids. Vinorelbine attacks cells during certain phases of cell division and prevents the formation of some structures that cells need in order to reproduce.
I know that Everyone reacts differently to drugs and some people may have more side effects than others.

Half-life elimination of vinorelbine is triphasic:
Adults: Terminal: 28 to 44 hours
Children and Adolescents 2 to 17 years: Terminal: 16.5 ± 9.7 hours (Johansen 2006)

It will probably take 2 to 3 weeks to recover depending mainly if the patient is heavily pretreated with chemotherapy.

Vinorelbine belongs to a class of drugs known as vinca alkaloids that target tubulin.
These drugs have different toxicities that vary even among the different drugs of the same class (i.e. vincristine; vinblastine; vindesine; vinorelbine). Their myelotoxicty is usually limited to the neutrophil count which normally recovers within a week or two. They tend to spare the platelet count and this property has been exploited in chemotherapy combinations with other myelotoxic drugs.
Neurotoxicity is usually limited to loss of deep tendon reflexes and acroparaesthesiae (numbness of fingers and toes). The recovery from this side-effect is often slow and may take several months after cessation of treatment but is not disabling for the patient.
In my experience, hair loss, if it takes place, always recovers on cessation of treatment and hair fully regrows within a few weeks.
Vinorelbine, administered intravenously, can cause phlebitis and all vinca-alkaloids can cause soft tissue damage if extravasated (leaked outside the vein). The recovery from this complication is also slow but is preventable.

Dear Houda, I totally agree to Spyro's and Joe's answer, I would add that clinically depending on pre-tx disease the neurotoxicity needs a certain time to develop (at least 2-4 weeks). The recovery is slow and takes in my experience at least 4-6 months.

From personal experience, I did not follow the treatment for many reasons, I get only 4 doses and without radiotherapy.I stopped the treatment since August 2014,
I was sure about the continuation of the side effects of this treatment. As I mentioned, I know that Everyone reacts differently to drugs and some people may have more side effects than others.
I follow Ct scan, Blood analysis, tumor marker and the situation until now under control but still have several side effects
