You can calibrate your reference electrode in H2 saturated 1M H2SO4 solution by using Pt wire as working electrode. Check the open circuit potential (OCP) for the system. If your reference electrode is perfect you should get OCP at -0.197 V ( The standard reduction potential (Eo) for Ag|AgCl|KCl(sat.) is 0.197 V). Any deviation in OCP from Eo need to be corrected during the report. You can check the following paper for RE calibration-
I don't have any idea that impedance measurement can be used for the calibration of RE. You should not use reference electrode during impedance measurement. It may ruin your RE, because during this measurement excessive current may pass through RE. To avoid this, reference connection is usually connected with CE electrode.
